David Chase's 'Not Fade Away' to Open Austin Film Festival (Exclusive)

David Chase will present Not Fade Away as the opening night film of the 19th annual Austin Film Festival & Conference, which runs Oct.18-25, 2012 in Austin, Texas. Among the 60-plus films at the event, which also features a famous screenwriting conference, will be David O. Russell's Silver Linings Playbook (which won the Audience Award at its Toronto premiere), Ben Lewin's The Sessions, Dustin Hoffman's directing debut Quartet, The Sapphires, Shadow Dancer, starring Clive Owen, Edward Burns' The Fitzgerald Family Christmas, with Burns in attendance, and the world premieres of Spinning Plates, To Kill a Memory, The Rep, Ex-Girlfriends, and Mar Del Plata. The Centerpiece film is Robert Zemeckis' Flight
