David Dobkins’ ‘Arthur & Lancelot’ dated for March 15, 2013
Warner Bros. is high on the action-adventure, a modern-day reimagining of the King Arthur tale.
Warner Bros. has wasted no time in dating David Dobkin’s Arthur & Lancelot, which hits theaters on March 15, 2013.
Last month, Warners emerged the victor in a heated biding war for an untitled King Arthur spec script written by Dobkin, who is set to direct and produce the project. Univeral and Fox were among the other interested suitors.
Arthur & Lancelot, a modern-day retelling of the classic King Arthur tale, marks a departure for Dobkin, who has primarily worked on comedies, including The Change Up, which opens Aug. 5 and stars Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman.
So far, Arthur & Lancelot has the date to itself. A week earlier, Disney opens Oz: The Great and Powerful.
