David Ellison's Skydance Expands TV Division
Skydance Productions, led by David Ellison, has hired Carolyn Harris as vice president of its newly expanded television division.
In an announcement Monday, the company that was a key backer of World War Z, announced that Bill Bost has been promoted to manager of development and Sasha Garron has been upped to coordinator.
They all report to former Fox executive Marcy Ross, who was recently named president of the TV division.
“Carolyn brings a wealth of experience and relationships from the literary world,” says Ross, "and Bill, coming from Skydance Features, helps to bring his vast knowledge of Skydance as an important brand to the work we do on the television side.”
Harris was vp television for Schorr Pictures and before that a TV packaging agent at WME. She also did film development at FilmNation Entertainment and was associate producer on The Raven, starring John Cusack.
Bost was executive assistant to Ellison, the son of Oracle Corp. CEO Larry Ellison. Before coming to Skydance, he was executive assistant to the CEO of Martin Chase Productions.
Garron started her career in the movie and TV literary departments at the Gersh Agency, and then worked at Fox as Ross’ executive assistant.
"Expanding our television department," says Ellison, "is an exciting step towards building Skydance into the multifaceted virtual studio that I have always envisioned.”
