David Lynch to Give Keynote Interview at Music Summit
He will discuss his music production career at the Ibiza International Music Summit.
David Lynch will give a keynote interview at the fourth Ibiza International Music Summit.
During the interview, Lynch will be announcing and discussing his new electronic music album that he will be releasing on the Sunday Best label, run by Ben Turner and Rob Da Bank, co-founders of IMS with Pete Tong. He will also discuss his music production career.
KCRW’s “Morning Becomes Eclectic” host Jason Bentley, Turner and Da Bank will be leading the interview.
Lynch and music engineer “Big” Dean Hurley will be beamed in on Skype from his recording studio in Los Angeles on Thursday, May 26 at 8 p.m. (local European time), which is 11 a.m. on the west coast.
"I'm excited to talk to those attending the International Music Summit in Ibiza. 12 months ago Jason Bentley from KCRW gave a track I made with my engineer Big Dean Hurley to Ben Turner and Rob da Bank of Sunday Best Recordings,” Lynch said, “and we return this year to chat about the full-length album we have just completed.”
Primarily known for his films, Lynch has collaborated with Danger Mouse, Sparkle Horse, Duran Duran and Interpol.
DJ Damian Lazarus, founder of TAG Strategic Ted Cohen, music supervisor Liz Gallacher, music supervisors Jason Alexander and Rudy Chung will also be present at the Ibiza International Music Summit, which takes place May 24-29.
