Dawson lands in DW's 'Eagle Eye'
EmptyRosario Dawson has signed on for DreamWorks' thriller "Eagle Eye."
Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan already have boarded the project, which will be directed by "Disturbia" helmer DJ Caruso. "Eagle Eye" revolves around a young man and a single mother who are framed as terrorists and forced together in becoming members of a cell with plans to carry out a political assassination. Dawson will play a government agent.
Hillary Seitz wrote the most recent draft. Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, who are overseeing the script, are producing though their DreamWorks-based shingle alongside Pat Crowley and Ed McDonnell.
Dawson, whose credits include "Sin City," "Rent," "Alexander" and "25th Hour," most recently appeared in Quentin Tarantino's "Death Proof" of the double feature "Grindhouse." She currently appears onscreen in "Descent," which is the first film produced under her production banner, Trybe Films.
Dawson is repped by ICM, Untitled Entertainment and attorney Carlos Goodman.
