Deadline.com Owner Jay Penske Arrested in Nantucket (Report)
The CEO of Penske Media Corp., which owns several websites, allegedly broke into the Nantucket Yacht Club and urinated on a woman's boots.
Jay Penske, a car-racing heir and budding digital media mogul, was arrested early Thursday morning for allegedly breaking into the Nantucket Yacht Club with his brother Mark, according to the Nantucket Inquirer and Mirror.
Penske, 33, is CEO of PMC Media, which owns Deadline.com, HollywoodLife.com and several other websites. He also is the owner of the IndyCar Racing League's Team Dragon. Jay and Mark Penske are sons of billionaire racing mogul and NASCAR owner Roger Penske.
A police report obtained by the Inquirer and Mirror states that officers initially responded to a call alleging assault and battery, as two women claimed they were assaulted by two men they later identified as the Penskes. One woman alleged that the brothers were urinating in the club's parking lot and after she approached them, Jay is said to have peed on her shoe and pushed her with Mark.
Jay was arrested at 2 a.m., allegedly while trying to run away from the club; Mark was found in a nearby apartment with cuts on his arm from a tumble down the steps. The pair spent the rest of the night in lockup and were arraigned Thursday morning, according to the Inquirer and Mirror.
PMC, which is involved in litigation with The Hollywood Reporter's parent company, owns a network of entertainment blogs, including Deadline Hollywood, Movieline, TVLine and HollywoodLife.
