Deckter joins sales company IM Global

Will oversee sales, distribution across four film slates

Lakeshore Entertainment international sales chief Jonathan L. Deckter has joined IM Global as president of sales and distribution.

The three-year-old sales company has also brought aboard Tatyana Joffe to head its Octane slate of genre films as senior vp international sales, and David Jourdan to head a new world cinema division as senior vp international sales.

Deckter will report to IM Global founder and CEO Stuart Ford and will oversee the company's sales and distribution activities across its four film slates. Joffe, a former QED International and Media 8 exec, and Jourdan, former TNC Pictures managing director, will both report to Deckter.

"The arrival of these three high profile and universally respected sales execs rounds out the structure which we have been building for the past few years," Ford said. "We now have the strongest sales team in the business, collectively fronting as diverse and impressive a slate of films as any company in the overseas marketplace. It will be an exciting Cannes for us and our international partners."

IM Global will unveil the name of the new world cinema division before Cannes, when it formally launches. The company will also present its main slate of commercial titles, OPUS; its art house label, Acclaim; and Octane films to international buyers.

IM Global recently repped "Paranormal Activity" and "A Single Man." Forthcoming productions include "Area 51," "Everything Must Go," "Dark Tide," "Astral," "The Company Men," "Bunraku" and "Shelter."
