Deluxe Acquires Hong Kong's Centro

Centro's feature credits include "Mr. Popper's Penguins" and "The Muppets."
Deluxe Entertainment Services Group acquired Centro Digital Pictures -- a Hong Kong-based VFX, animation and postproduction service provider -- for an undisclosed sum.
Centro’s feature credits include Kung Fu Hustle, Mr. Popper’s Penguins and The Muppets.
The company will be integrated into Deluxe Australia’s post, animation and distribution businesses. “Centro has brought together a tremendously talented team over the past 20 years to support the Chinese and Hong Kong filmmakers working in the region,” said Alaric McAusland, managing director of Deluxe Australia."Centro has grown to be a leading provider not just for local but international filmmakers as well."
Centro general manager John Chu will continue to run the company and report to McAusland.
Deluxe’s postproduction and VFX brands including Method, EFILM and Company 3.
