Demi Lovato Sings National Anthem at World Series (Video)
The Dallas-born actress-singer wore a Texas Rangers jersey as she kicked off Game 5 with her rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner."
Demi Lovato hit the field at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Texas, on Monday night to sing the National Anthem before Game 5 of the World Series.
The Dallas-born actress-singer shows her support for the hometown team -- the Texas Rangers -- by wearing a jersey under her jacket. (The Rangers are playing the St. Louis Cardinals in baseball's Fall Classic.)

She follows on the heels of Zooey Deschanel, who performed "The Star-Spangled Banner" at Game 4 the night before.
Lovato didn't flub any lines during her performance, but some bloggers pointed out that some of her notes were, in the words of American Idol judge Randy Jackson, a bit pitchy.

The National Anthem has been a source of much drama for several singers over the years who have slipped up on the words. Last week American Idol's Scotty McCreery had to start his song over after a microphone malfunction at Game 1 of the World Series Wednesday night. He also was criticized for singing what sounded like "No Jose does that Star Spangled banner yet wave" instead of "Oh say does that Star Spangled Banner yet wave."

Other flubs over the years have included Christina Aguilera at the Super Bowl, Cyndi Lauper at the U.S. Open and Steven Tyler at the Indy 500.
Meanwhile, the World Series is tied at 2-2; the teams next head back to St. Louis on Wednesday night for Game 6 of the best-of-seven series.
