Hillary Clinton Puts a "Crack in That Glass Ceiling" to Conclude Day Two of DNC

"I can't believe we just put the biggest crack in that glass ceiling yet!"

Hillary Clinton appeared by satellite Tuesday night to address the crowd as night two concluded at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.

Clinton, who secured enough delegates earlier in the day to officially be named the Democratic nominee,  became the first woman to ever lead a major political party into the general election. After an image of the nominee broke through "the glass ceiling" of a montage of past presidents, she appeared to thank her supporters and celebrate her historic nomination.

"I can't believe we just put the biggest crack in that glass ceiling yet!" Clinton said to cheering supporters in the crowd.

She thanked everyone in the room, saying "this is really your victory, this is really your night."

"I may become the first woman president, but one of you is next," she concluded, empowering the young women watching.

Tuesday's lineup also saw Lena Dunham and America Ferrera speak about the dangers of a Donald Trump presidency, Elizabeth Banks joke about his similarities with her Hunger Games character and Scandal's Tony Goldwyn introduce the Mothers of the Movement, who delivered a powerful speech about gun violence and Black Lives Matter.
