Dress du Jour: Diane Kruger Picks Poppies on the Red Carpet
In the form of an Alexander McQueen dress.
The Dress: A poppy-print dress with laser-cut details and voluminous sleeves, and a wide studded waist belt from Alexander McQueen's pre-spring 2017 collection, designed by Sarah Burton.
The Wearer: Diane Kruger, who consistently pushes the envelope on the carpet while acting as her own stylist. She most recently dressed for press events in Mugler, Zimmermann and Jason Wu.
The Event: At the screening of Disorder, hosted by The Cinema Society and Chopard, with Line 39 and Qui, at Landmark's Sunshine Cinema in New York on Aug. 9. Kruger stars in Alice Winocour's upcoming psychological thriller with Belgian actor Matthias Schoenaerts.
Why It Matters: Kruger's McQueen moment comes a week after Margot Robbie stepped out in a magical McQueen number, giving the British luxury label two big hits in the last two weeks. The 40-year-old beauty upped the wow factor by pairing her ensemble with delightful Dynasty-era statement Chopard earrings, featuring 6.06 carats of diamonds in 18kt white gold. "Hello my friends @chopard, come visit again soon," she captioned on Instagram, adding a winking emoji. Clearly she is a fan of the shimmery stunners. And who could blame her? Kruger completed her dress with flirty pink lips, a studded clutch and strappy heels.
