'Hawk' lands

A special-edition DVD of the cult classic "Hudson Hawk" will arrive in stores Nov. 20 with two all-new featurettes with stars Bruce Willis and Sandra Bernhard. The Sony Pictures Home Entertainment release also will include a new trivia track and never-before-seen deleted scenes, along with a commentary from director Michael Lehman.

Gaiam cleans up

Fitness and wellness DVD distributor Gaiam is going green. The company is ditching the industry standard Amaray "keepcase" in favor of eco-friendly paper packaging by Napco Inc. The initiative kicks off with the release of five new fitness titles, including "Kickbox Yoga Fusion" and "Total Body Cardio."

Classics bow

"The Masterpiece Theatre Family Collection" is coming to DVD Oct. 23, courtesy of WGBH Boston Video. The set includes four classic films based on famous children's books -- "Carrie's War," "Goodbye, Mr. Chips," "Pollyanna" and "The Railway Children."

'Aviator' soars to HD

Following up on its promise to release some of the most acclaimed titles in its library on high-definition disc, Warner Home Video has pegged "The Aviator" for Nov. 6 release on both Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD. Both high-def editions of the five-time Oscar winner will come with commentary from Martin Scorsese, a History Channel documentary, an additional deleted scene and a gallery of stills.
