Nielsen Business Media has made several staff appointments to the digital media group at The Hollywood Reporter.

Michael Laur has been upped to vp, digital publishing director, and Tamara Kline has been named national director, digital sales. Their appointments follow the hiring of Melissa Grego as Editor — HollywoodReporter.com on Oct. 5.

A former THR staffer, Grego returns to The Reporter from Television Week and TVWeek.com, where she was managing editor. She also spent three years at Variety. Grego will oversee the paper's content and initiatives while strengthening The Reporter's digital strategy and online assets.

Laur, who most recently was vp, group advertising director, will support Nielsen Business Media's Film & Performing Arts Group, including The Reporter and the company's Music & Literary and Marketing & Media groups, focusing on the paper's global audiences. Previously, he served as vp, group advertiser director for THR, where he created The Reporter's "For Your Consideration" portal for the Academy and Emmy consideration season.

Kline will oversee all digital sales activities for The Reporter and its sister publications, Film Journal International and Back Stage. She reports to Evan Kramer, vp sales at Nielsen Business Media's digital group.

With more than 19 years experience in the publishing industry, Kline joins NBM from Weaver Multimedia, where she was director of sales. Before that, Kline was publisher of New Orleans-based At Home Magazine.
