Dimension Films Nabs Sci-Fi Thriller 'The Greys'
The spec script was penned by Adam Cohen with "Before the Fall" helmer F. Javier Gutierrez set to direct.
Dimension Films has preemptively purchased the spec script The Greys, a sci-fi thriller from writer Adam Cohen and producing partners Sean and Bryan Furst.
F. Javier Gutierrez, the Spanish director of 2008’s Before the Fall, is set to direct.
The Fursts will produce in partnership with Radar Pictures’ Ted Field and Mike Weber. Overseeing for Dimension are svp of production Matthew Stein and vp of production and creative affairs Matthew Signer.
“We are thrilled to be collaborating on this exciting script with Adam Cohen, Radar Pictures and the Fursts. As a fan, I have wanted to work with F. Javier Gutierrez for some time and am happy to join forces on his English language directorial debut,” Weinstein Co. co-chairman Bob Weinstein said in announcing the project.
It’s the fifth project teaming TWC with the Furst brothers, beginning with 2005’s The Matador. Radar and Dimension Films previously collaborated on The Amityville Horror.
The deal was negotiated for Dimension by Andrew Kramer, president of business and legal affairs, Adrian Lopez, director of business and legal and Matthew Stein; and for Radar by David Boyle.
Cohen is repped by Paradigm and Evolution Entertainment, and Gutierrez is repped by Paradigm and manager Dan Farah.
