Dis tucks in Shankman at 'Bedtime'
EmptyAdam Shankman has signed on to direct "Bedtime Stories," a family comedy for Walt Disney Pictures. Andrew Gunn is producing via his Gunn Films banner.
The story centers on a harried architect whose his life is turned upside down when the bedtime stories he tells his niece and nephew start to come true. The script is written by Matt Lopez and is based on an idea by Disney exec Jason Reed, who is overseeing.
Gunn Films' Ann Marie Sanderlin is exec producing with Shankman and his Offspring Entertainment partner Jennifer Gibgot.
Production will start in the summer.
Disney-based Gunn Films produced "Freaky Friday" and "Sky High" for the company.
Shankman is no stranger to Disney, having directed hits "Bringing Down the House" and "The Pacifier" for the studio. He is in postproduction on the film adaptation of the hit musical "Hairspray," which New Line Cinema will release in the summer.
Shankman is repped by UTA.
