Discovery Communications Taps Courtney Menzel as Domestic Distribution Executive
She will lead national accounts, field sales and marketing efforts for the domestic distribution team.
Discovery Communications has tapped industry veteran Courtney Menzel as senior vice president, domestic distribution, effective March 1.
In her position, she will lead national accounts and field sales and marketing efforts for Discovery's domestic distribution team, which is responsible for the strategic oversight and distribution of 13 U.S. networks, nine HD channels and all Discovery U.S. Hispanic nets. Menzel will report to Bill Goodwyn, president, global distribution and CEO, Discovery Education, Discovery Communications.

Menzel worked for 20 years as an affiliate sales and marketing executive with MTV Networks and most recently Current Media, where she oversaw all affiliate sales and partner marketing initiatives. Prior to Current, she worked for 14 years at MTV Networks in various senior distribution and marketing positions.
