Disney-ABC TV makes agreement with SBS

CANNES -- Disney-ABC International Television is spreading its small screen magic across Europe with multi-year free TV agreements with broadcast SBS in Belgium and The Netherlands, Disney said Tuesday.

Thanks to the renewed deal, TV viewers in Belgium and The Netherlands will be able to watch the latest seasons of popular ABC series including "Lost," "Grey's Anatomy" and "Ugly Betty" as well as new additions "Private Practice," "Samantha Who?" and "Dirty Sexy Money."

Belgian cinephiles can watch "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe," "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest," "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" and "National Treasure: The Book of Secrets." Disney Channel's cult hit "Hannah Montana" will also be broadcast on SBS Belgium.

SBS Netherlands film lovers can watch animated hits "Meet The Robinsons," "Chicken Little" and "Ratatouille."

"We're pleased to be building on our established and successful multi-territory relationship with SBS, to bring this new selection of schedule-driving entertainment to viewers across Belgium and The Netherlands," senior vp program distribution EMEA Catherine Powell, said in a statement.
