L.A. Designer Names Dress for Disney's Anne Sweeney
Ryan Roberts says the TV exec inspired the fit 'n' flare "Anne Dress," which she says left her "humbled and surprised."
This story first appeared in the Feb. 8 issue of The Hollywood Reporter magazine.
While most Hollywood execs revel in having dishes named after them at restaurants around town, Disney Media Networks co-chair and Disney-ABC Television Group chief Anne Sweeney's going them one chicer.

L.A.-based designer Ryan Roberts' new sportswear line includes the fit 'n' flare "Anne Dress" in her honor. "I think about her for inspiration. Anne encapsulates so many of the qualities I consider when I begin the design process," says Roberts. (They met after Sweeney admired a Roberts jacket on a friend.)
The admiration is mutual: "I love his work," Sweeney says. "I'm humbled and surprised that I somehow inspired this beautiful dress."
