Donald Trump Blasts Hillary Clinton's "Fantasy Universe" DNC Speech
The GOP presidential nominee also attacked "little" former NYC mayor, Michael Bloomberg.
Donald Trump was thoroughly unimpressed with the acceptance speech Hillary Clinton gave Thursday night when she became the first woman presidential nominee for a major U.S. party during the Democratic National Convention.
Calling Clintion's speech "an insulting collection of clichés and recycled rhetoric," the GOP presidential nominee said the former Secretary of State talked down to the public while lying about him.
"It’s a speech delivered from a fantasy universe, not the reality we live in today," Trump said in a statement posted to social media. "She only stands together with the donors and special interests who’ve bankrolled her entire life."
In addition to the statement, Trump tweeted several additional criticisms of Clinton.
"Crooked Hillary Clinton mentioned me 22 times in her very long and very boring speech. Many of her statements were lies and fabrications!" Trump tweeted. "Crooked Hillary said that I 'couldn't handle the rough and tumble of a political campaign.' Really, I just beat 16 people and am beating her!"
Clinton was not the only DNC speaker on which Trump hammered away.
Calling former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg "little," Trump said Bloomberg, a fellow billionaire, didn't "have the guts" for a presidential run and "knows nothing about me. His last term as Mayor was a disaster!"
During a recent rally, Trump also said he wanted to "hit" some of the DNC speakers, "particularly a really little guy," he said.
"I was going to his this guy so hard, his head would spin. He wouldn't know what the hell happened," Trump said.
