Don Buchwald & Associates Adds Two Agents (Exclusive)
Mike Carr and Tim Scally join the agency’s West Coast offices
Don Buchwald & Associates has hired agents Mike Carr and Tim Scally, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Both reps will work out of the agency’s West Coast offices.
Carr is returning to Los Angeles after spending the last two years in Toronto as a senior agent at Characters Talent Agency. Before that, he was a founding partner of L.A.-based management company Intellectual Artists. He began his career in 1997 as a trainee at UTA before leaving to form Angry Dragon Entertainment, a production company set up at Sony TV. He returned to UTA in 2004 as an agent in its talent department.
Scally will lead DBA’s new comedy and personal appearances division, working alongside fellow reps David Swift and Bryan Walsh as well as New York-based Tony Burton and Eric Winchell. Scally, a 10-year veteran of APA’s comedy department, also will work closely with DBA’s commercial and voiceover division.
“Our company has been active over the past two years restructuring its key personnel in both L.A. and N.Y.,” DBA chief operating officer Richard Basch, Esq. said in a statement. “Our expansion has proven profitable, and we expect to bring on additional talent representatives within the near future.”
In February, the agency tapped former Nickelodeon casting exec Leslie Zaslower to head up its revamped New York-based young talent division.
