Double the Drama

As worn by dashing gents from Tom Hiddleston to Tom Ford, two sets of buttons are back on tuxedos this awards season.

Midnight blue and white hues (hello, Mahershala Ali at the SAG Awards!) are still trending, but when it comes to black-tie, there’s a noted return to classic, double-breasted tuxedos on the red carpet. The style that harkens back to the '30s and '40s, and was favored by Humphrey Bogart and Fred Astaire, has recently been spotted on modern gents Chris Pine, Eddie Redmayne and oh yeah, 2017’s two awards season Toms (Hiddleston and Ford).
