CBS Studios sets up Munich sales office

Smith as vp and general sales manager at CBS Studios International Canada will replace a retiring Bruce Swanson, who worked for 25 years at CBS.

The changing of the guard was unveiled by CBS Studios International president Armando Nuñez, to whom Toronto-based Smith will report.

Smith has been running his own consulting company after serving as executive vp at then Alliance Atlantis Motion Picture Distribution for three years to 2008.

He joined then Alliance Releasing in 1997, eventually becoming senior vp, and representing major U.S. television studios including Endemol Entertainment USA and CBS Broadcast International.
