Downton Abbey: The Exhibition, backed by NBCUniversal, will start in Singapore in June before moving to the U.S. in 2018.

Fans of the Crawleys have been offered a morsel of excitement as they wait patiently for news of a much-discussed potential Downton Abbey feature film.

Unveiled Thursday by NBCUniversal International Studios and Imagine Exhibitions, the multi award-winning show — which ended in 2015 — is to become a "fully immersive" touring exhibition.

Downton Abbey: The Exhibition will kick off on June 17 in Singapore's Marina Bay Sands, before traveling throughout the U.S. in 2018 and beyond. It is set to "connect visitors with their favorite characters, costumes and locations as well as showcase never-before-seen footage and historic moments," according to organizers.

“Seen in over 250 territories, Downton Abbey is a global phenomenon and viewers all around the world continue to ask for more,” said Michael Edelstein, president of NBCUniversal International Studios. "Downton Abbey: The Exhibition allows this incredible legacy to live on by offering a multi-million dollar museum-quality experience that will delight fans, ultimately extending the connection they have with Downton’s compelling characters and storylines. We are excited to expand the brand in a manner that few TV series could ever dream of doing.”

Alongside offering fans the chance to walk through some of the show's most recognizable locations and come up close to the costumes worn on set, Downton Abbey: The Exhibition is also set to offer an insight into British society, culture and fashion from the WWI and into the 1920s.

Additional locations and ticket sales will be announced at a later date.
