'Dr. Horrible,' 'Daisies' in Paley spotlight

Other panels include 'Battlestar,' 'The Hills'

The Paley Center for Media on Wednesday announced the schedule for the 26th annual William S. Paley Television Festival, which is set for April 10-23 at the Cinerama Dome at the ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood. A closing-night presentation at The Paley Center's Beverly Hills headquarters will follow on April 24.

The shows spotlighted this year include the CW's freshman "90210," Sci Fi Channel's departing "Battlestar Galactica" and its upcoming prequel "Caprica," CBS' hits "The Big Bang Theory," "The Mentalist" and canceled cult fave "Swingtown," HBO's veteran "Big Love" and rookie "True Blood," ABC's resurgent "Desperate Housewives," Fox's new sci-fi entries "Fringe" and "Dollhouse," FX's offbeat comedy "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" and MTV's long-running reality soap "The Hills."

This year's festival also will mark the first showcase for an Internet program, Joss Whedon's "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" and the premiere of the three unaired episodes of ABC's recently canceled dramedy "Pushing Daisies," which was featured with a panel at last year's fest.

Starting on Wednesday, April 22, the Paley Center will screen the first 12 episodes of "Swingtown," with the series' final produced episode opening the show's April 24 session, the first ever held at the Paley Center.

Like last year, The Hollywood Reporter will provide daily coverage of the Paley Fest events at THR.com/paley.
