Drake's Career Goal: Playing President Obama

The rapper-actor says: "I watch all the addresses. Any time I see him on TV, I don't change the channel."
Someday, Drake dreams of holding higher office -- specifically, in a biopic about President Barack Obama, for which he'd cast himself in the lead role.
"I hope somebody makes a movie about Obama's life soon because I could play him. That's the goal," the Canadian rapper told VH1 News, via the New York Post. "I watch all the addresses. Any time I see him on TV, I don't change the channel."
He added: "I definitely pay attention and listen to the inflections of his voice. If you ask anyone who knows me, I’m pretty good at impressions."

Drake, 25, is Grammy-nominated this year for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "What's My Name?" (featuring Rihanna), but before his break into music, he began as an actor best known for his gig on Canada's Degrassi: The Next Generation teen soap series and related TV movie spinoffs. He's also filmed a bit part in the 2007 comedy Charlie Bartlett.
"I've been reading scripts for a while," he told VH1. "I want to do something great. I want to do something for my culture: the younger people who are still in tune with everything going on. I’m actually writing with my friends right now."
Ambitious. But back to Obama: Drake might want to consider honing his presidential impersonation with a cameo on NBC's Saturday Night Live, where Fred Armisen continues to expertly mimic his vocal cadence and blinking patterns.
