DreamWorks Animation Taps Terry Curtin to Head Theatrical Publicity
She will succeed Robin Chandler, who is stepping down from that post to form an independent consulting firm.
Terry Curtin is joining DreamWorks Animation as head of theatrical publicity, effective April 11, the studio announced Monday. She will oversee worldwide publicity efforts for DWA's feature film slate, including traditional and digital publicity campaigns.
Curtin will succeed Robin Chandler, who is stepping down to form an independent consulting firm, with DWA as an initial client.
Curtin most recently served as head of strategic marketing and global communications at STX Entertainment. During the course of her career, she has held executive posts at Universal, Fox, Disney, Revolution, MGM/UA and Relativity.
Jim Gallagher, DWA's head of theatrical marketing, said of Curtin, "She's a strategic idea machine, who is equally comfortable down in the weeds or up at 30,000 feet." He added, "I'd like to thank Robin for all her incredible efforts, and am grateful to have her in an advisory role going forward as part of her new venture."
