DreamWorks Hires Jasmine Madatian as PR Exec

Jasmine Madatian has joined DreamWorks Studios as executive vp communications, the company announced on Wednesday.

She takes over for Chip Sullivan, the former head of publicity who was promoted to head of global brand integration at DreamWorks Animation in September.

In her new role, Madatian will be responsible for all communications strategies and media relations for the company, and will report to DreamWorks president and COO Jeff Small and production president Holly Bario.

She will work alongside Marvin Levy, the company’s longtime exec vp marketing. Publicity vp Kristin Stark will continue in her role and will report to both Madatian and Levy.

Madatian has held senior communications positions at Walt Disney Studios, Paramount Pictures, Fox and, most recently, at The Academy, where she oversaw all corporate communications and publicity for The Oscars. 

“Jasmine Madatian is a highly skilled communications professional with an impressive track record,” said Small. “Her excellent relationships with media and members of the creative community make her the natural choice to guide our company’s communications efforts as we look towards the future.”

While at Disney, where she served as senior vice president of publicity, promotions and field marketing, she oversaw developing strategic branding and publicity campaigns for Pixar movies Ratatouille, WALL-E and Up. Additionally, she spearheaded the campaigns for Enchanted, The Proposal and Alice in Wonderland.

When she spent eight years as senior vice president of publicity and promotions at Paramount Pictures, she worked on campaign for movies ranging from Titanic and The Talented Mr. Ripley to War of the Worlds and Team America: World Police.
