Dress du Jour: Elie Saab's Silk Shirtdress at Paris Fashion Week
The degradé silk shirtdress at Elie Saab’s spring/summer 2015 ready-to-wear show in Paris gives off just the right mix of glamour and effortlessness.
The Dress: A degradé silk shirtdress.
The Wearer: Runway model (look No. 24).
The Event: Elie Saab's spring/summer 2015 ready-to-wear show at the Jardin des Tuileries in Paris on Monday.
Why We Dig: For spring, the Lebanese designer (who recently appeared with his muse Berenice Bejo in THR’s Designer A-list issue) showcased a tropical palette of lagoon green, sea-mist and Amalfi sea-inspired blue with vivid pops of coral. That said, we had our eye on this decidedly nonbright black-and-white gradient-effect belted silk shirtdress. On a red carpet jam-packed with mermaid gowns (no tropical pun intended), this dress exudes just the right amount of effortless, cool glamour that Saab fan Julia Roberts loves. Roberts also has the legs for days required to rock its killer side-slit.
