E1 inks five-picture deal with Senator

Distribution deal covers 'Unthinkable,' 'Informers'

TORONTO -- E1 Entertainment on Wednesday said it has signed a five-picture Canadian distribution deal with Senator Entertainment.

Toronto-based E1 will release two Gregor Jordan pictures, "Unthinkable" and "The Informers"; Senator's first North American release, Jonathan Levin's "All the Boys Love Mandy Lane"; "Clocktower," a video game-to-movie adaptation to be directed by Martin Weisz; and "The Greatest," a Pierce Brosnan and Susan Sarandon starrer from writer-director Shana Feste.

The pact with Los Angeles-based Senator, which covers all Canadian media, including digital rights, also calls for E1 to release Jordan's "Unthinkable" in the U.K.

The multi-title deal was hammered out by Marco Weber for Senator and Patrice Theroux and Lara Thompson for E1.
