Editor of N.Y.'s Celebrity Bulletin newsletter dies
Bill Murray joined the Celebrity Service staff in 1977Bill Murray, longtime editor of the New York edition of the Celebrity Bulletin newsletter, died March 2 in his office of an apparent heart attack. He was 69.
Murray joined the staff of Celebrity Service in 1977 and two years later assumed editorship of the Bulletin, a daily roster of celebrity arrivals in New York. He was a regular presence at film premieres, Broadway openings and cultural events.
Murray is survived by cousins Deborah Farrell, Patricia Alconada, Tim Flaherty, Elizabeth Farrell and Nicholas Farrell. Donations in his name may be made to the New York City Ballet.
