Depending on the outcome, you may need a sugar fix to celebrate, to ease the pain or simply to stay awake for the returns. Here, a roundup of the delicious spots in Los Angeles serving red-white-and-blue, election-themed desserts.
Sprinkles is offering cupcakes in clever flavors Trumpkin (filled with a red marshmallow cream and including an elephant-shaped topper) and Vanillary (blue marshmallow cream filling and a donkey-shaped topper) that are sure to be a hit for Election Night viewing parties. The Beverly Hills-based cupcake chain also is selling a "vote" box that features a dozen cupcakes (eight dark chocolate and four red velvet flavors) for $45. The gourmet bakery is selling the "2016 Ballot Box Dozen" ($35), which includes two cupcakes in each of the following flavors: red velvet, lava fudge, vanilla and buttercream, chocolate squared, vanilla and chocolate, and red-white-and-blue, decorated with an assortment of bipartisan election-themed fondant.
