'Electric Company' Actress Lee Chamberlin Dies at 76
Lee Chamberlin, an original castmember on the PBS series The Electric Company, died on May 25, according to a New York Times obituary. The actress was 76.
Matthew Chamberlin, her son, confirmed the passing to the newspaper.
The actress, whose career in television, theater and film spanned three decades, appeared on the PBS children's series beginning in 1971.
On television, her other roles included turns on the ABC soap opera All My Children, the CBS crime drama Paris and the NBC action series Viper.
Her film roles included turns in Uptown Saturday Night (1974), Let's Do It Again (1975) and Beat Street (1984).
In addition to her son, Chamberlin is survived by her daughter, Erika Chamberlin, according to the Times.
