Riot Breaks Out at 'Electric Daisy' Film Premiere in Hollywood
Police donned riot gear to calm down an unruly mob in Hollywood at the world premiere of Electric Daisy Carnival Experience on Wednesday night.
According to Los Angeles' KTLA-TV, DJ Kaskade called for a "block party" outside Grauman's Chinese Theatre.

"Today@6pm in Hollywood @Mann's Chinese Theatre. ME+BIG SPEAKERS+MUSIC=BLOCK PARTY!!! RT!" he tweeted.
"Literally thousands and thousands of kids showed up for this thing," reported Tim Conway Jr. of Los Angeles radio station KFI.
The LAPD was forced to shut down Hollywood Boulevard between Highland and Orange avenues, causing a massive traffic jam on Highland, Hollywood and the 101 freeway.
Police then ordered the crowd to exit the area, but many refused. They started fighting, throwing bottles and set fire to a cop car, KTLA reported.

KTLA added that police fired riot beanbags at the crowd.
Erika Raney, communications director of Insomniac, which puts on the Electric Daisy event, said in a statment: "We are disappointed that a small group of people would try to mar a private documentary screening of Electric Daisy Carnival Experience, and we are thankful that the LAPD were able to quickly restore order."
Kaskade later took to Twitter to ask the crowd to calm down: "EVERYONE NEEDS TO GO HOME NOW! I DON'T WANT THIS TO REFLECT BADLY ON EDM OR WHAT WE ARE ABOUT. BE RESPECTFUL AND CHILL OUT!!!"

Electric Daisy Concert Experience, from director Kevin Kerslake, was shot at a private event Monday at the Music Box Theater in Hollywood, with plans to release it on 250 screens across the U.S. next week. It includes performances from David Guetta, Deadmau5 and Moby.
Insomniac and Electric Daisy also came under scrutiny last summer, when a 15-year-old girl died of a drug overdose at event, which was held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and Exposition Park.
