Couture Kids Collections Are Now a Thing, Thanks to Elie Saab
Because there's no age restriction when it comes to high fashion.
Get them while they’re young.
The demand for luxury goods might be down, but one designer remains optimistic about reaching new clients. Elie Saab debuted kids’ haute couture for fall 2016. A handful of the models walked the runway with mini-mes — who wore matching floral beading, feather embroidery and delicate lace — in tow. The looks were greeted with audible, “Awws!” from the front row.

The New York City-inspired collection referenced the city’s “energy, hope and magnetism” in the show notes — all things the luxury sector needs now.
Whether customers will pay hefty six-figure couture prices (even if there’s a pint-sized reduction) remains to be seen, but it will most definitely take Beyonce and Blue Ivy’s mommy-and-me dresses to a whole other level.
