Embrem says hello to 'Bye Bye, Fruit Fly'
Will be third collaboration between Archer, AndreasEmbrem Entertainment will produce the comedy "Bye Bye, Fruit Fly," spinning off several of the characters from the company's gay-themed movies "Slutty Summer" and "A Four Letter Word."
The film will be the third collaboration between writer Jesse Archer and director Casper Andreas, who collaborated on the two previous films.
Andreas also will reprise the role of Luke, whom he played in the first two films. The story centers on a female character named Audrey, who attempts to leave her gay friends behind as she seeks a man of her own.
Having raised half of the project's $200,000 budget, the filmmakers are eying a production start in May.
Embrem is also producing the dramedy "Going Down in LA-LA Land," based on the book by Andy Zeffere, which Andreas also will direct.
The company also has picked up worldwide distribution rights to "The Big Gay Musical," which it will play at film festivals in the summer.
