Emeril Lagasse Series to Premiere in May
The Food Network and Cooking Channel will serve up more than 20 new series, the networks announced Wednesday.
Headlined by chef Emeril Lagasse, The Originals With Emeril, premiering May 5, will pay tribute to iconic food establishments that have helped shape the country's culinary landscape. Originals was among the Cooking Channel's new primetime offerings that also sees the network cover street food, pastry chefs and Spanish foods.
Cooking Channel's other new primetime series include Eat St. (premiering April 12); Unique Sweets (April 24); From Spain With Love (May 27); Hook, Line & Dinner (June 7); daytime additions Ching-He Huang Series (July); The Perfect 3 (July); and Baking Made Easy (fall).
Returning series include Unique Eats, From the Kitchens Of ..., Chuck's Day Off, Kelsey's Essentials, Food(ography), Everyday Exotic, Bitchin' Kitchen, Hungry Girl, Brunch @ Bobby's, Rachael Ray's Week in a Day, Extra Virgin and Spice Goddess.
The Food Network, meanwhile, will explore cake decorating with Ashley Vicos' Have Cake, Will Travel, premiering April 26.
Other new original primetime series set to join the Food Network lineup include barbecue series Best in Smoke (May 8), Crave (June 20), Heat Seekers (July), Tough Cookies (July), Chef Hunter (August), Sugar High (Aug. 8), Halloween Wars (October), Supersizers (January); daytime additions Pioneer Woman (August), Food Network Star Winner series (August) and a Trisha Yearwood series (September).
Returning series include 24 Hour Restaurant Battle, Chopped, Food Network Star, Cupcake Wars, Restaurant: Impossible, Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, The Great Food Truck Race, The Best Thing I Ever Ate, Next Iron Chef: Celebrity and Worst Cooks in America.
