The Oscar frontrunner is being supersized to land on domestic screens for an awards-season run from Jan. 13.

Imax is set to sing with La La Land after booking Lionsgate’s buzzy awards-season musical for a limited domestic engagement, starting on Jan. 13.

The Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling starrer, written and directed by Damien Chazelle, opened in Imax theaters in South Korea last month. Now, the giant-screen exhibitor has digitally supersized La La Land for select Imax theaters in North America.

That expansion follows the musical's nabbing seven Golden Globe nominations ahead of the Jan. 8 ceremony and its being named best picture by the New York Film Critics Circle. "The beautiful presentation of La La Land in Imax took my breath away," Chazelle said in a statement on Thursday.

"We are excited to work again with our friends and partners at Lionsgate, as well as the incredibly talented writer/director Damien Chazelle in bringing this crowd-pleasing film to Imax audiences around the world," Greg Foster, CEO of Imax Entertainment and senior executive vp of Imax Corp., added in his own statement as La La Land continues to roll out on his screens worldwide.

La La Land follows Mia (Stone), an aspiring actress, and Sebastian (Gosling), a dedicated jazz musician, as they struggle to make ends meet in Los Angeles, a city known for crushing hopes and breaking hearts.
