The Social Network actor had won an Emmy earlier in the evening for original music and lyrics for his "Justin Timberlake monologue." Seth Meyers accepted the award for him.

Saturday Night Live has proven an solid platform for Timberlake, who won outstanding original music lyrics for "D**k in a Box" in Sept. 2007.

Gwyneth Paltrow, Boardwalk Empire, The Kennedys and The Borgias were also winners at the Creative Arts Emmys, which took place at the Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles.

The Primetime Emmy Awards take place Sept. 18.
