At Sunday evening's big show, the shoes — including those sported by Taylor Schilling and Laverne Cox — were hotter than the 100 degree heat.

Three shoe trends kicked off the awards season at the 67th annual Emmys: Pointy toe stilettos, dyed-to-match and the perennial strappy stiletto sandal. Of course, Jane Lynch bucked those three trends with a fierce square toe square midi-heel, as did Jill Soloway with her Stella McCartney flatforms.

But regardless, check out our top ten picks from Sunday's show.

Laverne Cox

Custom-dyed Nudist sandals in a rich yellow satin contrasted her clingy-in-all-the-right places aqua Calvin Klein gown perfectly.

Taylor Schilling

Dyed to match Nudists in a bright glossy yellow to match her billowy Stella McCartney maxi.

Elisabeth Moss

Bright pink satin Brian Atwood Tribecas (a go-to celebrity favorite) to match her Oscar de la Renta. Peep-toe and pink — what more could you want?

Ellie Kemper

Simple and strappy Jimmy Choo Claudette stilettos complemented her Naeem Kahn mutli-color sequined slinky gown.

Kiernan Shipka

Kiernan Shipka has been making all the red carpet rounds this fall, always looking perfectly styled and spot-on. Tonight, she paired her Dior Haute Couture creation with a pair of black patent pointy toe So Kate Christian Louboutin stilettos.

Naomi Watts

Naomi Watts flashed her star wattage in an exquisite Dior Haute Couture organza dress with a blue embroidered front and pink floral embroidered back, pairing it with 4.7 inch mirror metallic Anouk pointy toe stiletto pumps from Jimmy Choo.

Outstanding supporting actress winner Regina King stunned in a white and silver embroidered creation, which she styled with a pair of silver crystal encrusted strappy stilettos with an exquisite knotted detail on the toe.

Kerry Washington

Her hot-off-the runway Marc Jacobs sequined midi with major shoulder moments may have taken the cake for fiercest dress on the carpet. A pair of Cesare Casadei Tulip one-strap stilettos in a mirror metallic were the perfect exclamation point.

Jill Soloway

Outstanding director winner Jill Soloway always makes a statement, and tonight was no exception. White, treaded flatforms by Stella McCartney with her Bottega Veneta polka dot suit — hello!

Jane Lynch

Sophisticated in a cream and black tux ensemble, she paired the suit with a square toed black patent Miu Miu crystal embellished mini-pumps.
