Getting Emmys Ready with Kirsten Dunst: Behind The Scenes Diary
The Emmy-nominated star's makeup artist, Pati Dubroff, shares her behind-the-scenes snaps.
Before Kirsten Dunst sat down in Pati Dubroff's makeup chair on Sunday afternoon, the Fargo star already had a vision for the look to complement her beaded black Givenchy gown. "Kirsten showed me a picture of Uma Thurman from the movie Henry and June," explained Dubroff, who used the 1930s-set film as a jumping-off point for Dunst's red-carpet beauty.
The result? A seductive look with a sultry eye as the focal point, capped with berry-stained lips (tip: Dubroff used Laura Mercier Sheer Lip Colour in Tender Lip, which she recommends "applying with your finger, and repeatedly pressing onto the lips, then using Laura Mercier Candleglow Concealer and Highlighter to clean-up the edges"). Nail artist Ashlie Johnson matched the lip tone with Chanel Le Vernis Longwear Nail Colour in Mythique, and hairstylist Renato Campora added another dose of glamour with a modern take on a '50s-inspired finger wave.
Here, Dubroff shares her behind-the-scenes diary as she gets Dunst red-carpet ready (hint: it involves champagne and diamonds
