Emmys: Louis J. Horvitz Returning to Direct
Danette Herman, Bob Dickinson and Baz Halpin will also be part of the Fox telecast.
The 2015 Primetime Emmy Awards have firmed up much of the production team ahead of the Sept. 20 telecast.
Executive producers Don Mischer, Charlie Haykel and Juliane Hare announced Thursday that Louis J. Horvitz is again returning to direct — with Danette Herman also back as co-producer and Bob Dickinson serving as lighting designer. Additionally, Baz Halpin will be production designer.
It will be Horvitz's 17th time at bat directing the Emmy telecast, airing on Fox this year with host Andy Samberg. Horvitz's live telecast résumé also includes 12 times directing the Oscars and 22 years with the Kennedy Center Honors.
Emmy nominations will be announced on July 16 at the more forgiving time of 8:30 a.m. P.T.
