It is the latest executive change at the independent TV production house, known for such shows as "Big Brother."
LONDON -- Independent TV production powerhouse Endemol Group said Friday that Olivier Gers would leave his role as CEO of its commercial unit.

Gers had joined Endemol as head of the commercial arm in Feb. 2010 with a mandate to extend the company's commercial activities across platforms, including the creation of games, second-screen apps and branded entertainment.
Tim Hincks, president of Endemol Group, said: "Olivier has played a key role in expanding and diversifying Endemol’s global brands business, including successfully implementing a second-screen strategy around international formats."

Gers' departure is the latest as Endemol has been rejigging its executive team in recent weeks.
Endemol COO Virginie Calmels, who also served as CEO of Endemol France, resigned earlier this month. Nicolas Coppermann took on her role as CEO of Endemol France.
Earlier this week, Endemol named Martha Brass COO and Edwin van Es CFO.
