Ex-Endemol Exec Grant Ross Moves to Zodiak
The former global head of format acquisitions at Endemol will head up format acquisitions and global development at the French-based production giant.
Grant Ross, who resigned last week from his job as head of format acquisitions at Endemol, has shifted to a similar position at another European formats giant, French-based Zodiak Media.
Ross takes up the position of executive vp of global creative development and format acquisition at Zodiak, overseeing the acquisition of international formats for the group as well as leading in-house format development. Ross will also be co-chair of Zodiak’s newly created international development board together with Joel Karsberg, chief creative of Zodiak Nordic, with an eye to turning locally produced titles into global formats.
Ross announced his resignation from Endemol last week. He had been with the Dutch giant, producers of Big Brother and Deal or No Deal, since 2007. He had been global head of acquisitions at Endemol since October 2009.
Ross said: “I am very pleased to be joining Zodiak in this new and exciting phase of its development, and I look forward to bringing together great local production companies to develop and create hit global formats.”
Marc-Antoine d’Halluin, CEO of Zodiak Media, said: “Grant is one of the most highly regarded format experts in the world, and I am delighted to have him on board in this newly created role to drive and expand Zodiak in the business of global formats.”
