Entertainment One Names New President of Global Scripted Shows
Pancho Mansfield, executive producer of 'Damien' and 'Queen of the South,' will oversee the Canadian studio's original scripted TV slate.
Pancho Mansfield has been named president of global scripted programming for Entertainment One Television.
The executive producer of A&E's Damien and USA Network's Queen of the South will oversee the Canadian indie studio’s original scripted TV slate, in part by harnessing creatives at eOne's international TV arms. Mansfield, who will report to eOne Television CEO John Morayniss, will also work with Gerard Bocaccio, who oversees U.S. scripted development, and Carrie Stein, head of global production.
Toronto-based eOne is looking to do more global TV series with international partners and co-productions for the U.S. market. The indie studio has TV production arms in Canada, the U.S., the U.K. and Australia.
Mansfield earlier served as senior vp programming at Fox Television Studios, and before that as executive vp and head of original programming for Spike TV. He also completed an executive stint at Showtime Networks.
"Pancho is a true renaissance man of scripted television. Having been a buyer, a broadcaster and a producer, Pancho’s wide-ranging experience and relationships with the creative and broadcast communities in the U.S. will certainly take our original scripted activities to the next level," Morayniss said Monday in a statement.
eOne has a slate of original and third-party series that it produces and distributes that includes The Walking Dead, Hell on Wheels, Rookie Blue, Klondike, Bitten and Welcome to Sweden.
