'Entourage' Star Jerry Ferrara Joining Michael Douglas Comedy 'Last Vegas' (Exclusive)
Robert DeNiro and Morgan Freeman will also star in the Jon Turteltaub-directed comedy.
Entourage star Jerry Ferrara is in negotiations to join the cast of the Last Vegas, the CBS Films comedy being toplined by Michael Douglas, Robert DeNiro and Morgan Freeman.
Jon Turteltaub is directing the movie, whose the story centers on a group of retired boomers who are called upon for a Las Vegas bachelor party by their friend, a ladies' man (Douglas), who is finally settling down and marrying a woman half his age.
Ferrara will plays a young punk who antagonizes Douglas and his friends’ characters.
Also in the cast are Kevin Kline and Mary Steenburgen.
An October shoot in Vegas is being planned with an eye towards a December 20, 2012 release. CBS Films is producing with Good Universe.
Since wrapping Entourage -- he played the hapless sidekick Turtle in the popular HBO show about making it in Hollywood -- Ferrara has been the most successful in establishing a feature career.
The first role he booked after the show was Think Like a Man, the surprise Screen Gems hit. He is now coming off of gigs in CBS Films’ thriller 7500 as well as Empire State, Dito Montiel’s action movie starring Liam Hemsworth and Dwayne Johnson. Both 7500 and State are expected to be released next year.
