'Caught,' the first co-production, is in development with the CBC

Entertainment One has inked a first-look deal with actor Allan Hawco's Take the Shot Productions.

The two-year deal will see eOne handle worldwide distribution on upcoming series from the maker of the Canadian drama Republic of Doyle, while also co-producing. The Newfoundland-set crime series that sees Hawco play detective Jack Doyle is to end after its sixth season wraps on the CBC in Canada.

The first co-production from the agreement is Caught, a drama about a young man looking to outrun his criminal past that is based on a novel by writer Lisa Moore. The project is in development with the CBC.

The first look deal was unveiled by Hawco and Margaret O’Brien, COO of eOne Television.
