Eric Shiu Named VP Marketing and Communications at Entertainment One TV
Based in L.A., the industry vet will oversee worldwide marketing and communications efforts for the company's TV lineup.
Marketing vet Eric Shiu has been named vp marketing and communications at Entertainment One Television.
Shiu, who has held positions at Lionsgate, Warner Bros. and FX Networks, will be eOne TV's lead marketing and communications executive, based in the company's Los Angeles office. He'll be responsible for developing and executing eOne TV's international marketing and communications strategy and work closely with the marketing divisions of the company's broadcast and digital partners to create and execute innovative marketing campaigns for eOne's lineup in markets around the world.
Shiu will report to Peter Emerson, president of eOne Television International.
"Eric's studio marketing experience, digital prowess, and track record of success will support the company's ever-growing international television operations as new and returning shows come on air around the globe," Emerson said.
Before joining eOne, Shiu spent 15 years in TV marketing and creative advertising. He played a key role in repositioning and growing the FEARnet brand as well as launching FEARnet's traditional cable platform; overseeing Warner Bros.' on-air promotion group; and orchestrating the launches of FX series including The Shield, Rescue Me and Nip/Tuck.
EOne's programming include's Syfy's Haven, AMC's Hell on Wheels, Discovery Channel's first scripted series, Klondike, and DirecTV's Rogue. The company also handles distribution of AMC's The Walking Dead.
