ESPN Reporter Britt McHenry Suspended Following Parking Garage Rant (Video)

"I wouldn't work at a scumbag place like this. Makes my skin crawl even being here," McHenry said to a lot attendant.

ESPN reporter Britt McHenry has been suspended for one week after a video surfaced of McHenry berating a parking garage attendant, network spokesperson Josh Krulewitz announced on Thursday.

The leaked LiveLeak video showed McHenry spewing negative comments at a female attendant while she paid for her ticket at the towing establishment.

"I'm in the news, sweetheart. I will f—ing sue this place," McHenry began.

"That's why I have a degree and you don't," she continued. As McHenry reached into her bag, she muttered, "I wouldn't work at a scumbag place like this. Makes my skin crawl even being here."

"Careful," the attendant told McHenry, alerting her that she was being recorded, but the reporter continued directing negative comments at the woman. "Yep, that's all you care about, is just taking people's money. With no education, no skillset. Just wanted to clarify that," she said.

"Do you feel good about your job?" McHenry asked the clerk behind the counter. "Why, because I have a brain and you don't?"

As McHenry grabbed her receipt from the woman, she said, "Maybe if I was missing some teeth they would hire me, huh?" before closing her rant by saying, "Lose some weight, baby girl."

McHenry later apologized for her comments, writing on Twitter: "In an intense and stressful moment, I allowed my emotions to get the best of me and said some insulting and regrettable things. As frustrated as I was, I should always choose to be respectful and take the high road. I am so sorry for my actions and will learn from this mistake."
