ESPN's telecast of the "Monday Night Football" matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the Denver Broncos -- which ended on the first play of sudden death overtime -- drew a big crowd this week.

The game, which Green Bay won 19-13 on a long scoring pass, averaged 14 million total viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research. That makes it the second-most-watched basic cable telecast of the year, behind only sister network Disney Channel's premiere of "High School Musical 2" (17.2 million).

Elsewhere in cable, the debut of "Lost Book of Nostradamus" on the History Channel averaged 3.5 million total viewers from 9-11 p.m. Sunday. The two-hour special gave the network its best performance ever for an original special.

In the key demos, "Lost Book" drew 1.9 million adults 25-54 and 1.8 million adults 18-49.
