Ethan Hawke, Sean Penn, Clint Eastwood Set for LMU Filmmaker Interview Series
The third season will again be moderated by The Hollywood Reporter's Stephen Galloway.
Ethan Hawke, Sean Penn and Clint Eastwood are set to take part in the third installment of Loyola Marymount University School of Film and Television's interview series The Hollywood Masters, which is moderated by The Hollywood Reporter's Stephen Galloway.
The third season also will include Kenneth Branagh (Henry V, Much Ado About Nothing), Ken Burns (The Roosevelts: An Intimate History, The Civil War), Gale Anne Hurd (the Terminator trilogy, The Walking Dead) and Quincy Jones (The Color Purple, The Wiz).
The interview series, launched in February 2014, has featured talent including Hans Zimmer, Hilary Swank, Billy Bob Thornton, David O. Russell, Judd Apatow, Alfonso Cuarón and Sherry Lansing, all of whom were interviewed at the LMU campus by Cosgrove Visiting Artist and THR executive features editor Galloway.
The Hollywood Masters, which is open to LMU students and faculty, will be taped before a live audience. Clips from the interviews will be featured on The Hollywood Reporter's website. (Click here to watch previous conversations.)
"The Hollywood Masters series has established itself as an essential component of the film school's mandate to connect students to the entertainment industry's most accomplished and respected figures," said Stephen Ujlaki, dean of the Loyola Marymount University School of Film and Television. "Our students are beyond thrilled with the slate of guests this season."
Added Galloway: "It's hard to imagine a more brilliant and pioneering group of writers, directors, composers and producers than those gathered for the Masters series. These filmmakers have put a stamp on film history that will last for generations, and it's only fitting that the next generation of filmmakers should get a chance to see them in person."
